Russian stocks may fall amid decline of global floors, oil

MOSCOW, Feb 21 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks may decrease at the opening on Friday amid negative dynamics on global floors and falling oil prices, analysts said.

“Downward correction on the RTS Index is possible at the start of trading today under pressure of the foreign background. Traders on the global markets are again worried about the spread of coronavirus,” Olma senior analyst Anton Startsev said.

The U.S. stock indices fell 0.4–0.7%, the U.S. stock index futures are trading above the level of Thursday’s close. European stock indices are trading in minus, and Asian stock floors are showing mixed dynamics.

Alor Broker analyst Alexei Antonov also expects the Russian market to decrease at the opening amid a decline of the U.S. market and oil prices.
